Visiting & Exchange APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest in Vermont Law School. 

Priority application deadlines:

Fall Start: June 15
Spring Start: October 15
Summer Start: March 15

The following items are required to complete your application:

• Completed Visiting/Exchange Application Form
• $60 Application Fee (not required for exchange applicants)
• Current Transcript
• Professional Resume
• Short essay describing your interest in Vermont Law School
• Letter of good standing from your home law school, including permission to attend Vermont Law School. 

JD students from other ABA-approved law schools are encouraged to submit their visiting application through the Law School Admission Council. 

Foreign Applicants:

All international transcripts must be evaluated by an ​official evaluation agency. Recommended evaluation agencies include Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE.org​) and World Education Services (WES.org​).

If English is not the applicant's primary language, the applicant must submit official test scores from TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE. The minimum scores are: TOEFL-100; IELTS-6.5; PTE-68. Please contact the admissions office if you have concerns about meeting the language requirement.

Similar questions will be asked on employment applications for certain government agencies and on applications to sit for state bar exams. The information you provide during the application process must be consistent with answers you provide to government agencies and the Board of Bar Examiners.
