Vermont Law and Graduate School allows students to take classes in a non-degree seeking manner.   

Continue with this form for the Fall or Spring Semesters.  To apply for Summer Session Non-Degree - including Undergrad, please see our Summer Session pages.  J-1 Exchange or Visiting students should apply via the Visiting/Exchange page.

Tests - International and Standardized


Vermont Law and Graduate School does not require standardized test scores to be considered for admission, however, if you have taken the LSAT, GRE, or GMAT in the last five years and wish to have those scores considered as a part of your entire application, please submit those here.


International candidates must submit English language competency test scores.  If you have lived in an English-speaking country for at least two years or completed a bachelor's degree or higher at a domestic U.S. education institution, you may be exempt from submitting scores.




Non-Degree Information


Non-Degree Seeking students may be eligible to take up to 6 credits in a non-degree seeking manner.  Non-Degree Seeking students can elect to audit On-Campus classes: Online classes are only taken For-Credit.

As a Non-Degree Seeking Student, courses taken for a credit may be transferred to a different institution: whether they are accepted is dependent on each institution.

You will need to provide the following in order to have your application reviewed.  If you do not provide them now, you will have to submit them in our VLGS Application Portal: 

  • Current professional resume *Required for submission of this form

  • Transcripts from current, most recent, or undergraduate degrees *Required if you are taking courses for credit

  • Letter of Good Standing/Approval *Required if you're transferring credits


Students may have the opportunity to use Financial Aid or Veterans Benefits if they are enrolled at another institution and are planning to take classes at VLGS to transfer back to their degree program.
